The Academy for Cultural Urbanism
In 2018, the POLAU, the art & urbanism hub at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, set up an Academy for Cultural Urbanism which brings together artists, cultural operators and producers and architects to focus on new ways of constructing cities. Cuesta was one of the founder members.
Cultural urbanism is an emerging practice at the interface between contemporary creation and urban planning. New ways of acting in urban developments are proposed through artistic and cultural projects that are brought by stakeholders involved in current questions of urban fabric: reversibility, flexible planning, differentiated temporalities, empowerment, prefiguration.
